Sterile Compounding
Sterile formulations include products administered by injection (IV, IM, SQ, ID, intrathecal, epidural) or via inhalation, intranasal or ophthalmic routes of administration. Sterile formulations have a number of special requirements including:
- Sterility
- Particulate material
- Pyrogen-free
- Stability
- pH
- Osmotic pressure
We exceed guidelines set forth by USP and ASHP for sterile compounding. These guidelines classify sterile compounding from non-sterile ingredients as the highest risk category. Our procedures include the use of a Class 6 Cleanroom.
