Mesotherapy
Mesotherapy (pronounced mezo-therapy) was first pioneered in the early 1950's by French physician Dr. Michel Pistor. It is the painless subcutaneous injection of medications, amino acids, vitamins and minerals. Mesotherapy is indicated for weight loss, cellulite reduction, facial rejuvenation, and hair re-growth due to alopecia. Unlike other medical treatments, mesotherapy is administered directly to the desired area in customized doses for the patient’s individual condition and needs. This approach minimizes side-effects, reduces the incidence of drug interactions, and allows for significantly less medicine than would be conventionally required to treat the patient orally (if at all possible).
Aging of the skin occurs from accumulation of fat, loss of skin elasticity and excessive free radical (sun) damage. Using antioxidants and amino acids, mesotherapy can slow or reverse the aging process. The effects of mesotherapy can rejuvenate the face, eyelids, and neck without the obvious negatives that come with plastic or reconstructive surgery.
More importantly, mesotherapy has a variety of therapeutic medical uses.
